Mink yarn comes from mink that are gently sheared, so no mink die! The fibers are very soft but very short, and therefore it is often spun together with other fibers so you can knit with it without the yarn breaking. It can be knitted with a single strand to make a lovely shawl or with two strands to make a cozy sweater. There isn't much mink yarn on the market, so here you get a truly unique product that is also hand-dyed - win win......
