Mink yarn comes from mink that are gently sheared so no mink are killed! The fibers are very soft but very short, so the yarn is often spun together with other fibers to prevent breakage while knitting. It can be knit with a single strand to make a lovely shawl, or with two strands to make a cozy sweater. There isn't much mink yarn on the market, so you get a truly unique product here, which is also hand-dyed - win win......
