Merino/silk is a lovely, full-bodied luxury base that is not superwash treated. It is excellent for sweater knitting; after washing the stitch definition becomes even more beautiful and fuller, and it can easily be knit together with a mohair and used for one of PetiteKnit's many beautiful designs. It can be knit on wooden needles as well as metal needles. Many sensitive people can tolerate it because the merino used is a fine merino. If you are allergic to wool, you should look for yarn in AKW scale A, but if you are "just" sensitive, you should be able to tolerate this yarn.
