This base is exactly like our best-selling base – the regular dark yak we have stocked for years – just slightly thicker. After cashmere, this yak is the softest yarn we have, and it is perfect for people with wool allergies, as it contains no sheep’s wool and therefore no lanolin, which is often what people react to. This version is a little lighter, though, and does not drape quite as heavily as the other base. It is perfect for sweaters, lovely to knit with and gives a beautifully even result.
