This combination of fibres makes a wonderfully soft yarn with a beautiful drape. It is particularly good for shawls, and if you knit sweaters with it – which you certainly can – please be aware that they may stretch 2–3 cm in length after some wear. Even though it is a really soft yarn, if you have allergies you should knit a swatch and wear it against your skin to test whether you can tolerate it. Alpaca fibres can be tricky for some people, even though they are soft.
