This combination of fibres gives a very lovely, soft and drapey yarn. It works particularly well for shawls, and if you knit sweaters with it, which you certainly can, please be aware that it may grow 2 - 3 cm in length after some wear. Even though it is a really soft yarn, if you are allergic you should knit a swatch and wear it against your skin to test whether you can tolerate it. Alpaca fibres can be tricky for some people, even though they are soft.
