This base contains 100% Yak and therefore does not contain lanolin, which many people are allergic to. Since it is 100% yak and no silk has been added, it will seem like a stronger and more rustic yarn, but don't let that put you off. But if you are allergic, make a small knitting test first and wear it close to your body to see if there will be any reactions. The yarn really blossoms and takes up more space after washing, so remember (as always) to make a knitting test. Remember to wash your knitting sample, otherwise you won't get anything out of it. Measure the knit strength before washing and after washing.
