Possum is a small marsupial native to New Zealand, where it is considered a pest. They are controlled so that the large population does not destroy the ecosystem in New Zealand. Possum has a very fine undercoat, and it is these fibers that we use for the yarn. The fibers are hollow, which makes the yarn very warm. The fibers are short, just like in our mink yarn, and therefore you will not find 100% Possum; instead, it is spun together with other luxury fibers, which certainly does not make it any worse.
