Single alpaca is a lovely base to knit with. It is single threaded, but can easily be knitted in the round without your sweater becoming crooked. It has a beautiful stitch definition and is easy to knit with. Be aware that it has a category B on the AKW scale, which means that if you are allergic or sensitive, it is recommended to knit a small sample and wear it on the skin, so you can see if you can tolerate it, but it is very soft and delicious and we can highly recommend it. It's a warm base, which means you won't freeze in it. If you suffer a lot from the heat, you may need to consider another base.
